I turned 40 not so long time ago. Long before, I played ice hockey for the Frankfurt Lions. In the early 2000s I studied German Philology and Islamic Science at Freie Universität Berlin while editing trashy talk-shows in the afternoons.
From 2003 – 2009 I enrolled at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (dffb) in producing. Here, I met my fellow student Nils. In 2009 we decided to start our company, Boekamp & Kriegsheim GmbH.
I passed the International Producing Program of the IFS Cologne and participated in the Rotterdam Cinemart Lab in 2012. With a strong focus on social-political and environmental issues, my recent projects include the international three-part series “1968mm” on occasion of the 50th anniversary of the revolutionary year of 1968, as well as the feature fiction film “75qm” shot in Kiev, Ukraine.
If you don´t find me working on a film project you will probably not find me – I love the outdoors and I love to travel. To be out in nature for skiing, hiking or any kind of water sports is were I recharge and find inspiration. The more remote the better …Before going into the film industry I worked as a nurse and studied communication science, wanting to become a journalist.
I studied Film at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin (dffb) where I met Felix and have taken part in several workshops after in international co – production, script writing, marketing and development and working as a journalist in crisis regions.
The journalistic approach in my work never left me. I love to research and find stories based on real life and translate them into moving picture. I aim to take an attitude in what I do – my main interest are LGBT & Environmental Issues and human interest stories in general. Recent projects are: 5 part documentary series: Day Zero The documentary feature: Green Gap and the development of ACT Up – a drama series based on LGBT History.
